There is so much to love about the Pocophone F1, it’s a superb budget smartphone that is only really let down (at least in the US) by a lack of carrier support. The price point makes it such an amazing package, and it seems it will get even more enticing. That will be thanks to the addition of Night mode for photos, 960FPS slow-mo, and 4K 60FPS video recording, all of which are heading to the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 over the next couple of months.

That said, we are a little disappointed that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 slider phone was nowhere to be seen at this launch. This might be of interest with the company heading to New York next month for a user taster session, which will no doubt include this device amongst the handsets that you can get to grips with.

Xiaomi’s Pocophone F1 has been the talk of the town recently with its flagship-tier specs but crazy low price of just $300. However, when you have a price that low, there are sure to be some omissions, and now it’s been discovered that the device lacks support for Widevine L1.
Dropping the bezels is the stand-out trend of the past year or two in smartphones, but Xiaomi was one of the first to do it a couple of years ago with the Mi Mix. Now, the company is launching a further refinement of that concept and it’s easily the smallest bezels we’ve seen to date.
