New pre-order data out of Korea claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are not just the most popular foldables yet, but also Samsung’s best-selling devices in almost two years.

Samsung’s foldable smartphones are all about their bigger, folding displays. With an entry cost that getting lower each year, these devices are getting more and more compelling. However, it’s worth noting that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 still cost quite a bit to repair.

This week, Samsung is detailing its efforts to build a more efficient panel with new “Eco OLED” technology that debuts in the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Connectivity is upgraded on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 thanks to full 5G support with optimization for mmWave connections, but there are some downsides, too. When we reviewed the Galaxy Z Fold 2 last year, we were mostly impressed with what Samsung had to offer, but there were clear roadblocks to mass adoption. One of those issues was water resistance as the Fold 2 quite simply had none. Apparently, Samsung has solved that problem on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, managing to offer IPX8 water resistance on both devices, according to a reliable source.

After a ton of leaks and rumors, Samsung has just confirmed that it will host a virtual event to launch its next collection of Galaxy devices, with the upcoming Unpacked event set to take place on August 11.

We’re about a month out from Samsung’s Unpacked event, but the leaks aren’t stopping. This week, an official video posted by Samsung itself has had both the Wear OS-powered Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 make a probably unintended cameo in a new video.

We’ve already seen quite a few big leaks of Samsung’s upcoming devices, but over the weekend the single biggest leak to date hit the web, as Evan Blass posted 360-degree animations that show the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3, Buds 2, and Watch 4 from all angles as some devices had some key specs surface.
