Samsung Galaxy S7 teased (but maybe not seen) in The Next Galaxy video promo

Samsung’s official Indonesian channel has published a teaser on YouTube to get us ready for the next Galaxy devices, which are due to be unveiled on Sunday at MWC in Barcelona. With the video having only been posted recently, it’s hard to imagine Samsung is hinting at an already-released devices in its promo, and yet, all devices we see appear to be current generation devices. In other words, it’s a teaser without a teaser. We think…

Latest Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge press render leak shows off classy black, gray and gold together

Having seen a few leaks already over the past few weeks, it’s fair to say there’s little left to the imagination when it comes to what Samsung will announced this coming Sunday. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are expected to take on a design very similar to the S6 family, albeit slightly more curvy and perhaps a little thicker.

Galaxy S7 pre-orders rumored to open on Feb. 21, free Gear VR for early shoppers

According to Android World‘s ‘reliable’ sources, Samsung will open pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 on the same day that it announces the device at MWC in Barcelona; February 21. What’s more, it’s claimed that early shoppers who order between Feb 21 and March 10 will receive a free Gear VR set.

Pre-ordered phones are purportedly due for shipment from March 11th, which matches up with a previous rumor that the device will get its retail launch on that day. Android World says customers who want the free VR set will need to register through a separate promotional site, and receive the unit at a later date.

Opinion: Samsung’s Galaxy S7 is shaping up to be a monster, but is that enough?

We are about two weeks away from this year’s Mobile World Congress, which means we are entering the first of the two big periods of the year where all the major OEMs refresh their lineup of high-end devices. On February 21st, just a day before MWC kicks off, Samsung is expected to announce both the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge.

Unlike last year, where the edge variant was simply a curved version of the 5.1-inch screened flat sibling, this year’s model should bump up the panel size to 5.5-inches, making it closer to the Galaxy S6 edge+, which made its way to the store shelves alongside the Note 5 later last September…

Trademark suggests Samsung Galaxy S7 lineup may get ‘Always On Display’ features

In its relentless push for adding new features, Samsung may have just accidentally revealed a potentially interesting property of its new devices, the upcoming Galaxy S7 and its bigger, slightly curvier sibling, the S7 Edge. An application recently filed with the USTPO in fact contains a request for trademarking a so-called ‘Always On Display’, which despite sounding pretty generic leaves us little room for interpretation…

Rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 official accessories list suggests official 2700mAh battery pack is coming

A couple of months back, it was rumored that Samsung was going to launch a number of new official first party cases for its upcoming flagship smartphones. That list of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge accessories included a keyboard cover and the usual S View cover, as well as a ‘Glitter’ cover and a ‘Clear’ cover. If a recent leaked list is anything to go by, however, there could be many more to add to that list…

Samsung reportedly has a 360° video rig called the Gear 360 coming at MWC

Update: SamMobile has uncovered some source code on Samsung’s event page which seems to hint at the presence of 360-degree video, although in reality, that could mean anything. It’s definitely vague, but worth noting nonetheless.

According to a report this morning from SamMobile, the previously-rumored Gear 360 camera rig is real, and it’s coming at Mobile World Congress alongside the new lineup of Galaxy phones…

This Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge concept is pretty, but it doesn’t make much sense [Gallery]

Case manufacturers are already making cases for the Galaxy S7 (and its design doesn’t look much different than the Galaxy S6), but that’s not stopping Curved from posting the Galaxy S7 of its dreams. Curved’s designs are always pretty, but as is the case with this one, they’re not always the most logical. As you can see, this design puts the USB Type-C port on the top of the device, a microSD slot on the bottom, and another edged screen along the bottom of its face…
