I think it’s safe to say that Qi2 has been the most meaningful part of upgrading to the Pixel 10, at least for me. I’m finding magnetic accessories invaluable in day-to-day life, and I’m not alone. One of my favorite ways to use Qi2 on the Pixel 10 is with car chargers as it’s probably the most convenient place to use the tech, yet also one of the most frustrating.

While a camera upgrade will be missing, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series is seemingly getting a big upgrade in the form of Qi2 support, and a new leak details the company’s plans for magnetic accessories, but no clever name to go with it.

It continues to be clear that Samsung is fully introducing Qi2 on the Galaxy S26 series, with a new “Magnet Wireless Battery Pack” surfacing on a certification page.

According to a new report, Samsung is working on its own first-party Qi2 25W wireless charging dock for the Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to finally natively adopt Qi2 magnets.

I’ve found plenty to love about my Pixel 10 over the past few months, but so far, nothing has topped the inclusion of PixelSnap. Google’s branded Qi2 implementation — the first of its kind we’ve seen on Android — brings all sorts of magnetic accessories to this year’s lineup, and in my experience, it feels like the closest we’ve come to a modern, market-friendly version of modular design. I’ve spent the last few weeks testing out a handful of magnetic accessories (some Qi2-specific, some not-so-much), and honestly, I can’t imagine going back.

On the backs of the Pixel 10 Pro XL and latest iPhones, Qi2 25W has been heralded as the “next big thing” in wireless charging. Yet, it really doesn’t feel worth the effort of seeking it out for two key reasons.

The arrival of native Qi2 support in the Pixel 10 series has let me dive headfirst into a new world of accessories, and Qi2 battery banks have very quickly become my favorite accessory to have on hand.
