	As announced with the June 2025 Feature Drop, Gboard is getting deeper integration with Pixel Studio that lets you generate custom AI stickers. This is beginning to roll out on the Pixel 9 and newer.

	As announced with last week’s March Feature Drop, Pixel Studio 1.5 is required to generate images and stickers of people, while there are a handful of other changes.

	With the December 2024 Feature Drop, Google announced that Pixel Studio was getting Gboard integration, but version 1.4 is a bigger update than that with the ability to directly generate stickers.

	With the Pixel 9 series, Google released three new Pixel apps: Screenshots, Studio, and Weather. They join a family of other applications exclusive to Pixel: Camera, Recorder, Thermometer, and Tips. It’s also worth noting the Pixel Buds and Watch companion apps, while Personal Safety has since expanded to other devices. Another honorable mention is the Magnifier app exclusive to Pixel but not pre-installed.

	The first big update to Pixel Studio is supposed to make it easier to bring a photo into the app for editing, but the share target is currently broken.

	One of the new AI-powered launch features on the Pixel 9 series is Pixel Studio, an app that takes text prompts and turns them into images. It might end up being a fun little tool, but it can also go off the rails pretty easily in our experience.
