Following OnePlus’ announcement on Monday of the OnePlus 3T, it was unclear if the company was planning to keep both models and offer flagships at two pricing tiers, or if it was planning to fully replace the OnePlus 3 with the OnePlus 3T. Now the company has confirmed that it’s the latter…
As Android Nougat starts to permeate the Android ecosystem, OEMs are preparing updates for many different smartphones. So far we know that LG is about to push an update to the LG G5 and Samsung is actively testing out Nougat on the S7 family. However, while speaking to Engadget, OnePlus confirmed when Nougat would hit the OnePlus 3.
Just yesterday a report came out to say that due to a lack of stock, OnePlus would be halting production of the OnePlus 3 to make room for a new “OnePlus 3S.” In that refreshed model, the company would swap the existing Snapdragon 820 chip for an 821 and also trade the AMOLED display for an LCD, to the uproar of some fans.
OnePlus may have finally ditched its infamous invite system for its latest — and, hopefully, future — devices, but that does not mean that the company isn’t having troubles meeting demands. After weeks of discontinued sales caused by unforeseen request, the fate of its “3” flagship may see it coming to a permanent halt. But there’s more…
OnePlus over the weekend announced the rollout of a new version of OxygenOS for the OnePlus 3, version 3.2.6. While this new version doesn’t bring any groundbreaking new features, it does pack a plethora of minor updates that will improve the OnePlus 3 experience in general…

With today’s announcement, the hard-working people at Paranoid have announced official support for the Nextbit Robin…
It’s been a few weeks since Android 7.0 Nougat went official and since the source code went public developers over at XDA have been hard at work creating ROMs for various devices based on the OS. Just a week ago we saw builds pop up for older devices such as the Nexus 4, OnePlus One, and even the Raspberry Pi 3.
OnePlus has today announced a new software build for the OnePlus 3, Oxygen OS 3.5. This new “community build” is available directly from OnePlus, although it won’t be available as a standard OTA. Community builds are essentially OnePlus’ version of a beta, allowing its fans to test out new software builds so any problems can be found before the full rollout.
Despite being a relatively new company whose products often tend to lighten your wallets less than the likes of, say, Samsung or Apple, OnePlus is a company that always makes sure its voice is heard loud and clear. This is especially true when it comes down to reaffirming its position in the tech realm; and that, often, leads to direct comparisons like the one posted today…
It’s August, and with an ever-increasing number of notable Android OEMs reaching maturity, we’ve seen more new handsets than usual launch this summer. The summer started off strong with the Moto Z and Moto Z Force (not shipping!), and most recently Samsung finally showed us its Galaxy Note 7 after many months of leaks. But which ones are the best buys?…
There has to be some sort of curse in the tech world for OnePlus, from which consumers are the primary victims. However, the Chinese OEM fares no better, and amid post-Brexit price surges, it looks like other European customers too will be affected by another form of disservice, whose fault may or may not be on the firm’s shoulders…

Things in the world of USB-C have been complicated since day one, but as time goes on things aren’t getting much better. As more USB-C devices hit the market we continue to see issues with Type-C compliance here and there, but with most of these devices the violations lie in accessories, such as the charger. However OnePlus has made things worse with its recently released OnePlus 3.
They say that specs don’t matter; and that, to an extent, is often true, in the sense that software optimization can take you to far greater lengths than a more powerful processor or some extra RAM. We reported about a video comparison posted a few months ago by PhoneBuff’s David Rahimi between the two models of the Galaxy S7 edge — the Snapdragon and Exynos-powered ones — where the latter prevailed largely due to some in-house software tuning made by the Korean giant.
But for all its technical prowess, Samsung‘s top smartphone couldn’t help but lose its throne to a newcomer…
With major updates for the OnePlus 3 on the horizon there’s no doubt many users are constantly checking for that update to hit their devices. While that’s usually completely fine, a flaw in OnePlus’ system could turn this average task into something a bit more dangerous.
