CMF by Nothing today launched CMF Headphone Pro, a pair of over-ear headphones that cost $99, pack flagship-tier features, and have a clever physical control setup that includes a slider to tune bass levels on the fly.

Following their announcement earlier this month, Nothing Ear (3) are now available for purchase.

Operating as a sub-brand of Nothing for the past couple of years, it’s been announced today that what was formerly “CMF by Nothing” is becoming an indepedent subsidiary and India’s first global smartphone company.

Nothing gets a lot of attention around its smartphones nowadays, but audio products are what made a name for the company. Over the past week, I’ve had the chance to check out the Nothing Ear (3), the fourth-generation earbuds from Nothing, and I’ve got mixed feelings.

Following its first over-ear headphones launching earlier this year, Nothing is now teasing “Headphone Pro” as a very colorful alternative from its sub-brand, CMF.

Following up on last year’s Nothing Ear, the Nothing Ear (3) is launching today at a higher $179 price point, but with a new “Super Mic” feature added on, as well as some tweaks to its sound profile.

Nothing OS 4.0 is right around the corner, but the company isn’t bringing its Android 16 upgrade to every smartphone. Following Carl Pei’s confirmation on social media that the Nothing Phone (1) won’t receive another major upgrade, the company is offering an exclusive deal to Nothing Phone (1) and (2) owners to upgrade to the brand’s latest smartphone.

Ahead of its open beta launch “coming soon,” Nothing is showing off its Android 16 update, Nothing OS 4.0, and its new features and designs.

Alongside its latest funding round, Nothing’s Carl Pei is laying out a vision for the future of the company which, ambitiously, includes creating a new operating system for smartphones and beyond.

Ahead of their launch later this month, Nothing Ear (3) are being shown off in yet another teaser that reveals an updated case with a “talk” button.

As first hinted at earlier this year, Nothing says its Android 16 update is coming soon, with Nothing OS 4.0 offering a “redefined” take on the skin.

It’s been a busy 2025 for Nothing, having launched a trio of smartphones alongside the brand’s first-ever over-the-ear headphones, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the year is quieting down.

Nothing’s made a pretty sizeable splash this year with the launch of three smartphones — including its first-ever flagship-adjacent device — but it hasn’t been without controversy. Following a controversial video comparison earlier this year between the Phone (3a) and iPhone 16 Pro Max, Nothing’s been caught using professionally-sourced stock imagery on in-store demo units of the Phone (3).

Nothing has just announced its first Android 16 beta, with Phone (3) users able to test out Nothing OS 4.0 ahead of its release starting in the next couple of weeks.

Available starting today, Nothing is releasing its latest affordable smartwatch in the $99 CMF Watch 3 Pro. It has a few key upgrades, but obviously trades the functionality of Wear OS for its much more affordable price point.

Nothing has just announced new updates to Essential Space, its AI-powered hub, which includes support for Google Calendar as well as updates to the new “Flip to Record” feature on Phone (3).

Nothing Headphone (1) bucks a lot of trends in the audio space in terms of design, standing out on its own as unique. In a slight twist, though, Nothing turns out to have made a second Headphone (1) case that’s pretty familiar, because it’s just like the one from AirPods Max.
