The number of vulnerabilities found in Android’s Stagefright just grew, and this time devices from as far back as Android 1.0 are vulnerable to attack. This first vulnerability, affecting almost every Android device, is in “libutils” — and that’s just one of the vulnerabilities recently discovered by Zimperium. Google Play launches ‘A Rock and a Hard Place’ music promotion offering albums as low as $3.99

The Google Play music store has kicked off ‘A Rock and a Hard Place’ promotion which offers rock and metal albums for as low as $3.99. There are a total of 90 discounted albums from the biggest classic rock and current metal groups: Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith, Five Finger Death Punch, Black Sabbath, System of a Down, and more. No word from Google on how long the promo will last so if you see an album you like be sure to grab it soon.

Export Google Voice data with Google Takeout

As of today, Google Voice has been added to Google Takeout, a service which allows you to quickly export data from specific Google applications. You can now export voice communications (transcripts too) with voicemail and greetings as mp3s, phone numbers as a vcard, and text messages as html.

The service lets you create a quick full archive of all your data, or select just Voice or another service. You can check out Google Takeout now, which also allows you to download data from other applications including your contacts, stream and circles from Google+, Picasa Web Albums, and your Google Profile info.
