LG

As previously rumored, LG has unveiled 4 new smartphones at CES 2017 this week including the LG K4, K8, and K10, as well as the new LG Stylo 3. All of these devices offer slightly different mid-range experiences, and most even include Android Nougat out of the box.
Yesterday we reported LG’s alleged intention of pushing its next flagship smartphone, the (likely-to-be-named) G6, quite a bit earlier than usual, and also showed you some leaked schematics showing its potential design.
Now, we have more new material for your eyes to feast on…
As 2016 comes to a close, all attention is being shifted toward next year’s flagships. After the disappointment of the LG G5 and (reportedly) slim sales of the LG V20, we’re hoping for a winner with the LG G6. Whether or not we’ll get that remains to be seen, but today we’re learning a lot more about LG’s upcoming flagship.
CES is right around the corner, as little less than a month separates us from the event. And, VentureBeat reports, LG is apparently ready to show off its arsenal, with no less than six new phones being prepped for the official unveil…
LG’s V series — including last year’s V10 and the recently-launched V20 — is known for many things, but perhaps the most notable is its secondary display. This “ticker” lets you do things like quickly switch between apps and toggle quick settings, and also serves as another way to personalize your device. If you like that feature, though, you’re in for some bad news. According to a tweet today from renowned leaker Evan Blass, LG is moving on from the “ticker” with the forthcoming LG V30…
LG’s new V20 smartphone is one of the best options available on the market today and is one of the few that can really compete with the dominance that Samsung and Apple have on today’s market. So far, it seems that LG is off to a good start with sales of the V20, selling over 200,000 units since launch.
2016 has been a tough year for the Android market. In previous years we couldn’t count on one hand the number of awesome devices, but this year there have only been a few to choose from. The Galaxy S7, specifically the Edge has stood out as a clear winner, despite the praise given to competing devices like the HTC 10. On the other hand, no one really cared about LG this year. The G5 was a flop by every definition.
Now in late 2016, there still isn’t much to pick from. The Galaxy Note 7 was close to perfection, and then it literally exploded in Samsung’s face. Google’s Pixel aims to fill the void, and redefine what an Android smartphone can and should be. However, if you’re not looking to get a Pixel, the LG V20 is 100% what you should be looking at, especially if you’re aiming for a big phone. Let’s take a closer look.
LG Electronics has just reported its Q3 2016 earnings with profits falling over 50% from the previous quarter due to declining sales and operating losses from the mobile division. Year-over-year, operating profit fell only 3.7% due to the strong performance of their home appliance unit.
We’ve been using the LG V20 for the past couple of days while working on our review — coming this week. Unfortunately, it seems like some early V20 buyers are having some minor issues. One issue stands out, the camera glass seems to be a bit fragile…
This year didn’t start off well for LG with the dismal sales of the LG G5, and while things are looking up with the V20, LG is going to have to step it up with the LG G6. While the G5 was certainly a device that thought out of the box with its modular design, it fell flat, and now it seems LG is going to learn from its mistakes.
While Google’s new Pixel phones have dominated headlines for the past couple of weeks, an underdog is on the horizon ─ the LG V20. I’ve spent the past 24 hours trying it out, so here’s what I think so far…
After the mess that Samsung has gotten itself into with the two separate recalls for the Galaxy Note 7 due to overheating and exploding batteries, it looks like the company might be turning to one of their largest competitors, LG, to supply batteries for their next flagship phone.
The LG V20 is one of the more highly anticipated devices we’re looking at this fall, and for good reason. The large, durable, and powered smartphone is very compelling, but there will be two things many will complain about ─ the size and lack of water resistance.
LG’s V20 is one of the more promising smartphone releases this year, and the release is coming up quick. T-Mobile and AT&T are set to release the device on October 28th, and now more carriers and retail outlets are announcing availability details.
The LG V20 is only ten days away from going on sale from most carriers, and today T-Mobile has announced pre-orders which open up today.
One of my favorite smartphone features over the years has been wireless charging. There’s simply nothing that’s more convenient, but nonetheless, we’ve been seeing fewer and fewer devices embracing the technology as of late. One big reason for that may be wireless charging’s biggest flaw – speed.
Earlier this week LG officially unveiled the all new LG V20, and it’s impressive. It brings a new all-metal design, Android Nougat out of the box, a removable back, dual-cameras, and much more. LG definitely has a (potential) winner on its hands, but the company isn’t doing itself any favors with availability on the device…
Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 7 is by far one of the best devices I’ve used this year (and I’ve used most of them), but it’s currently in a hot mess. After discovering an issue with the battery that was causing devices to explode spontaneously, Samsung was forced to issue a worldwide recall of the Note 7. While the company is in the process of replacing units, that’s not going to fully solve the problem. Customers have seen what’s been going on, and some of them are really scared about it…
With Samsung starting the dance of the numerous handsets to be unveiled until the Christmas holidays period, we are beginning to gather more information regarding a series of other devices landing on the stores’ shelves in the coming weeks and months.
Today is LG‘s turn, as Android Authority and Steve Hemmerstoffer — better known for his Twitter handle @OnLeaks — managed to obtain some interesting renders of the company’s upcoming V20 flagship…
After teasing the device’s release just last week, LG has officially confirmed the successor to last year’s LG V10, the V20. While LG didn’t give us too many details, it did reveal a couple of features and when the device will release.
When the latest LG flagship launched, the Korean company also introduced a series of “Friends”, including a 360 camera, a VR headset, a Hi-Fi audio module, a camera grip, and more. Now, LG has announced the latest addition to the lineup: Action Cam LTE…
LG announced today (via KoreaTimes) that it has replaced some executives and formed a program management office in its mobile division, in hopes that the restructuring will bring some much-needed “new momentum” to its struggling mobile business…
After debuting the first two X Series smartphones earlier this year, LG has today announced 4 new additions to the series. The X Power, X Mach, X Max, and X Style are 4 new affordable Android smartphones all with their own special features setting them apart from each other…
