Following the announcement in September, Google is allowing Workspace (work and education) users to access the Gemini app on Android and iOS.

The latest update to Google Chat lets you create “custom sections” in the sidebar to organize conversations as part of a “complete revamp of the left navigation experience” on the web. 

Following Help me visualize in Slides, Google is adding Gemini image generation to Docs on the web for Workspace users. 

After offering basic themes, Google Slides now has templates that “help users build presentations much faster.”

Following the April announcement and testing in June, Google Vids is now generally available for Google Workspace tiers.

Following Gmail, Drive, and Docs/Sheets/Slides, the Gemini side panel is now available in Google Chat if you’re a paid Workspace subscriber.

Workspace customers can soon send video messages in Google Chat, while voice transcripts are now available.

After announcing in April, Google Docs is rolling out a “document tabs” feature for improved organization.

To encourage business and enterprise use, Google is now letting paid Workspace tiers access the standalone Gemini app.

The presentation experience in Google Slides is getting a nice quality-of-life update with multi-monitor support. 

Following Gmail, Drive, Docs/Sheets/Slides, and Meet, Gemini is coming to Google Forms with “Help me create a form.” 

Google Meet previewed “Takes notes for me” a year ago and this Gemini feature is now rolling out to Workspace customers. 

Google Chat now integrates with IFTTT (if this, then that) to power various automations. This is available for both Google Workspace and personal accounts. 

Google is updating Help me write in Gmail with a “Polish” draft feature on Android, iOS, and the web.

As previewed at I/O 2024 in May, the Gemini Q&A panel is now more broadly available in Gmail for Android and iOS if you’re part of Workspace Labs. In essence, this is a more complete version of Gemini for your emails on mobile.
