Google is rolling out version 7.6 of its Clock app on Android, and it lets you sync alarms between your phone and Pixel Watch.

Google rolled out the Wear OS 4 update to last year’s Pixel Watch much sooner than expected, but it is lacking some notable features that aren’t particularly hardware-dependent.

With this year’s model less than a week old, Google is now rolling out Wear OS 4 to the original Pixel Watch.

The big limitation of At a Glance when it quietly launched in June was how it only supported a single watch face, but Google has now updated it with two more complication styles. 

Due to a “firmware update,” Google has had to change and increase the quoted charging speeds for the first-generation Pixel Watch.

With the launch of Pixel Watch 2, Google has shuffled up its watch band offerings, but that has resulted in the removal of a few options including the only first-party brown leather band in the company’s collection.

It’s another round of deal days this week, and as a part of that, we’re seeing the first-generation Google Pixel Watch drop down to $209 right as the sequel is about to hit the market. Is that actually still a good deal? In short – yes.

Wear OS 4 is coming to the original Pixel Watch later this year and will bring some of the new safety features debuting on the Pixel Watch 2.

Google is rolling out version 2.0 of the Pixel Watch companion app ahead of next week’s launch and confirming several new features, like DND sync, in the process.

Google’s design for the Pixel Watch is truly gorgeous, but protecting it is something that many will absolutely want to do. However, despite the similarities, cases for the original Pixel Watch won’t support the Pixel Watch 2.

Wear OS 4 is seeing its formal launch with the Pixel Watch 2, but Google has confirmed that the original Pixel Watch will also see the update in the very near future.

Google’s first entry into the smartwatch game, the Pixel Watch, is perhaps the one I’ve loved more than any other smartwatch. A year later, I still love it, but I also have a few things I’d like to see the Pixel Watch 2 improve on.

In addition to the Android and iOS redesign this week, Fitbit is rolling out some visual tweaks to its Wear OS app, including Tiles, on the Pixel Watch.

With the Pixel Watch 2, Google is updating and releasing new first-party bands, including metal slim and the metal mesh (again).

In a confirmation of what’s been reasonably obvious for the past year, Google has now directly confirmed that, currently, there is no way to repair a Pixel Watch screen that breaks.

At the start of 2022, Google announced that Wear OS would be able to unlock your Android phone. It seems Watch Unlock is very nearly ready to launch, as our APK Insight team managed to fully enable the feature for an early hands-on.
