Google Home Mini

Google Home Mini is one of Google’s best products released to date, and that’s because it’s so inexpensive that you can keep it literally everywhere. Now, Google has partnered with Incipio to offer an official wall mount for its latest smart speaker.
Google’s hardware lineup expanded greatly this year, and this holiday season perhaps marks the first time that there’s actually been enough Google hardware to choose from that you might want to pick and choose. Between Chromecast, Google Home, Pixelbook, Pixel Buds, and more, there’s definitely some standouts that are obviously great gifts, and some you might want to pass on…
Shortly after the launch of the Google Home Mini, a hardware bug resulted in Google removing the ability to play/pause media. An inconvenience for a speaker, this feature has now returned, but not necessarily in an intuitive manner.
The Google Home Mini is a no-brainer at it’s $49 price point, and even more so at the $29 price it’ll carry through the end of the year. However, it’s far from a perfect product, as it’s had some pretty serious issues since launch. Now, a new issue is popping up, causing the speaker to shut down while streaming music.
Depending on your personal opinion, you may think the fact that Google stores all audio recordings from Home as either awesome or extremely weird. Either way, you might one day want to delete all of those recordings. Thankfully, Google makes it extremely easy to do so right from the “My Activity” interface…
Assistant-powered smart speakers are everywhere now and you can buy them in quite a few different form factors. The most compelling, though, has been the small and affordable Google Home Mini, and now it’s going to be even more affordable through the end of the year.
When Google unveiled the Pixel 2 and 2 XL, the company offered every customer who ordered one of the new smartphones during a promotional period a free Home Mini. If you’re someone who took advantage of this deal, check your email as the discount code is being sent out right now…
With the Google Home Mini already shipping and being delivered, we figured now would be a good time to walk you through how to set up and get started with your new smart speaker. Thankfully, most of the setup process takes place within the Home app, which means the entire process just takes a few minutes.
Yesterday, Google confirmed that one of the Home Mini’s features — the ability to trigger Assistant by tapping on the top of the speaker — was defective on a select number of units. As the bug was causing the smart speaker to essentially listen and record its surroundings 24/7, Google quickly pushed out an update to disable this feature.
Google has now reached out to let us know that it has permanently removed the Assistant-specific touch functionality and will not bring it back…
The Google Home Mini was announced at Google’s big hardware event last week, and it’s an awesome little product. However, it seems that at least some early units have shipped with a pretty major defect that brings our worst fears with these always-listening assistant to reality.
Last year I said that the first Google Home was a great start, but not yet functionally up to par with the comparable offerings from Amazon. Google has all but caught up since then. The feature set of the original Google Home is fleshed out — it works with just about as many third-party services as you could want — and now Google has introduced a smaller, cheaper Home to take on the Echo Dot.
The short version is this: The new Google Home Mini joins the Chromecast as another impulse buy in Google’s hardware lineup.
The Google Home Mini is here, and it’s pretty much just what the name suggests: a smaller Google Home speaker. Let’s check it out and see what comes in the box…
In addition to Google announcing two new Home units at yesterday’s event, the company has been pushing out brand new features that bring extra functionality and control to the smart speaker. The latest of those allows you to set a preferred media playback device when you ask your Home to either play some music or your favorite show on CBS. Here’s how to change the setting…
Alongside the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Google announced a whole slew of new products. These include a new premium Chromebook called the Pixelbook, two new Google Homes, Assistant-powered Bluetooth headphones, and more. Below are all of the places currently selling the search giant’s latest products…
Google Home is an impressive product, but it’s not perfect for every situation. We’re getting a lot of third-party Assistant speakers in the coming weeks, but today Google unveiled two of their own options — the Google Home Mini and Google Home Max. As with anything, there was a lot announced on stage, but also a lot that slipped through the cracks, so let’s take a slightly closer look…
Google took to the stage today to debut quite a few new hardware and software releases, and there was a lot to get through. If you don’t have time to sit down and watch the entire event, we’ve got you covered…
The Google Home has been due for an update given its original reveal over a year ago at I/O 2016 and that its main competitor has launched devices at every price range. Announced at the October 4th event this morning, the Google Home Mini brings all the same Assistant smart speaker features to a smaller and cheaper form factor.
After months of leaks, we have finally made it to October 4, 2017. Today Google will finally unveil all of its latest and great products for the world to see. Thankfully, to make it easier for everyone to watch and enjoy on almost any device, Google is livestreaming the entire event on YouTube, and we just happen to have the video embedded below just for you.
Well, folks, we’re just a day away from Google’s October 4 event in which we expect the company to announce a whole slew of new products. This includes both products that we have seen leaked and several that are still just rumors.

Google is planning to unveil all of its new toys tomorrow including the Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, and Home Mini but that hasn’t stopped companies like Best Buy from accidentally leaking these products in a new advertisement…
In addition to the Pixel 2 and a Home Mini, Google is expected to announce a high-end convertible Chromebook with a stylus called the “Pixelbook.” Thanks to a reseller inventory page we exclusively found this morning, we now have a few more details about its specs. In addition, Google is also working on another mysterious device called “Clips.”
We’re just a day away from Google’s big hardware event, and one of the products we’re looking forward to most is the compact Google Home Mini. The $50 assistant looks great, and now it’s just popped up for pre-order through Walmart.
Google Home Mini is one of the several products we expect to see announced by Google at its event tomorrow, and now (via Android Police) it seems someone who lives a couple blocks away from the Google campus has spotted the device available for set up in the Google Home app.
It’s been almost exactly one year since Google held its first “Made by Google” event, featuring the first wave of products out of Google’s newly-found seriousness about hardware. This year we’re expecting refreshes for lots of products that debuted for the first time last year, and perhaps a few exciting surprises as well…
