Nokia has been slowly keeping its promise of delivering Android Pie to several of its devices, and this week that finally includes the Nokia 8. As part of a phased rollout, Pie is now heading to all users as an OTA update.
Xiaomi’s Pocophone F1 is a pretty amazing phone when you look at the bigger picture, but software is one of the areas it takes a hit. This week, however, there’s a big plus arriving in the form of Android Pie for the Pocophone F1.
The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL received its first update to address a handful of bugs with last month’s security patch. Since then, more issues have arisen, with the December security patch rolling out today to address them. Meanwhile the Nexus 5X and 6P are still receiving updates for this month.

The One UI beta for Samsung devices is now available to Galaxy Note 9 users in Germany and India, this comes just after we saw the registration process appear (then disappear) for owners in the United States.
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ users have already had the opportunity to get on the Samsung One UI with the Android Pie beta, but now Note 9 users can register to get involved in this limited testing phase. The download isn’t yet available, but the registration process is now open to US users.

Last week, Digital Wellbeing 1.0 began rolling out to the beta channel of users who have been testing the features since the August launch of Android 9 Pie. Google’s take on “time well spent” is now available for all Google Pixel phones and Android One devices.
The November security patch marks the third update to Android 9 Pie since its August release, and is the first for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL that launched last month.
One of the biggest perks to getting an Android One device is timely updates to the latest versions of the OS. This week, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Android Pie update is rolling out, and the Motorola One Power is following right alongside it.
LG doesn’t have the best track record with Android updates, but with the LG G7 One being part of the Android One program, this is set to change. The program does wonders for hardware that would otherwise chug under the weight of a heavy third-party OS skin. With this update, the G7 One becomes the company’s first device to run Android 9.0 Pie.

On Thursday, Google announced the “System Version: H Update” for Wear OS, with a handful of features focused on battery life. What the company failed to mention is that the new naming scheme coincides with the release of Android 9 Pie for wearables, and that it’s already rolling out for some devices.
