Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4G Review: Worth it for the performance, not the LTE [Video]

mobvoi ticwatch pro 4g

The biggest problem with Wear OS as a platform is hardware, and the biggest problem with most of its hardware is battery life. Last year, the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro implemented a clever solution to that problem with a dual-display. Now, the TicWatch Pro 4G is here, and while LTE might be the feature that earns the new name, it’s the improved performance that should have you interested in this watch.

Google Nest Hub: How does the Amazon Echo Show 5 compare? [Video]

Amazon Echo Show 5 vs Google Nest Hub

In the world of voice assistants, we all know the real big players. It’s the Google Assistant and Alexa. Siri and Bixby can try and muscle in but they are just not as ubiquitous as the two big guns from Google and Amazon. Personal opinion aside, the brand new Amazon Echo Show 5 is genuinely an enticing smart display option but how does it stack up against the Google Nest Hub?

ASUS Chromebook Flip C434 Review: Not quite the underdog anymore

asus chromebook flip c434

When premium Chromebooks first started becoming popular, my favorite was the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302. Back then, it was an underdog compared to the Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro, but in 2019, the market has grown dramatically. Does the ASUS Chromebook Flip C434, the C302’s successor, hold up? I’ve spent the past few weeks finding out.

Lenovo Smart Clock Review: The only way Google Assistant should be in the bedroom

lenovo smart clock google assistant bedroom table

Google Assistant is slowly making its way into every part of our lives, and I for one am not complaining. Since launch, I’ve had a Google Home or a Nest Hub somewhere in my bedroom for controlling my lights and alarms. Now, those are being replaced by the Lenovo Smart Clock, and I think it’s the only Google Assistant device you should have in your bedroom. Here’s why.

Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL review: The Pixel for the rest of us [Video]

Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL design and hardware

For the past few years, Google seems to have tried to chase the sun a little with the Pixel line. That isn’t a bad thing by any stretch as, despite a few stumbles here and there, the Pixel line has become an exceptional Android alternative to the iPhone. Which brings us to the release of the Pixel 3a and 3a XL, a phone targeted at a slightly different subset of the market.

Review: Lenovo Chromebook C330 brings back the budget Chromebook for well under $300

Years ago, Chromebooks were essentially just for those seeking ultra low-cost internet machines. Now, Google’s Chrome OS can be found on more expensive machines that are well worth their cost. If you’re looking to stick with the basics though, there are still options, and the Lenovo Chromebook C330 might be the best one of them all.

Moshi Avanti Air review: Super-cool retro wireless Bluetooth headphones [Video]

Moshi Avanti Air review

The idea that headphones have to be utilitarian pieces of audio equipment has quickly been eroded as more and more Bluetooth headphones have hit the market. With a history of ‘premium’ products behind them, the Moshi Avanti Air are arguably one of the coolest, retro-inspired on-ear Bluetooth headphone options out there right now.

Google Pixel 3 re-review: 6 months with the pinnacle of Android and smartphone cameras [Video]

Pixel 3 XL re-review LTE

Make no mistake, we’re most definitely a partisan group at NewGeekGuide when it comes to the Google Pixel 3. Being able to pick up a device that’s been created as Google intended is the core reason that the Pixel line is so revered — and that industry-leading camera is most definitely a reason too.

Moshi Symbus Q Review: The Swiss Army knife of Chromebook accessories

Moshi Symbus Q front

Each year, Chromebooks become thinner and more portable, but this unfortunately comes at the cost of once-indispensable ports like HDMI and Ethernet. Some devices, like the Pixelbook, don’t even have so much as a full USB-A port.

These can, of course, each be replaced with a separate dongle, but many Chromebooks have only two USB-C ports, which would make it impossible to use two dongles and charge simultaneously. The Moshi Symbus Q, which plugs in with just one USB-C port, is able to replace all of these dongles, charge your Chromebook, and wirelessly charge your phone simultaneously.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Review: The near-perfect middle brother [Video]

samsung galaxy s10 android

Samsung has been the king of the Android for years now, and it’s not slowing down by any means. In response to underwhelming sales of last year’s Galaxy S9, the company has launched the Galaxy S10, a family of powerhouse flagships that get a whole lot right.

Over the past week, I’ve been using the Galaxy S10 as my daily driver for this review. The $899 device is the middle of the company’s 2019 lineup, and it delivers a lot. Long story short, it’s an amazing, near perfect Android smartphone. However, its positioning makes it slightly tough to recommend.
