Samsung might have its calendar mislabeled. The company is bringing back the beloved boosted trade-ins we saw at launch for its pre-Black Friday deals, cutting the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Z Fold 7 down by up to $1,000 with the right trade-in.
When Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7, it offered boosted trade-in credits to mitigate the large sum of money customers were putting down for brand-new phones. Trading in the right phone, like the previous flagship, allowed users to receive $1,000 or more in credit. For foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, a trade-in is almost essential.
It appears those deals are back for a short window during Samsung’s “pre-Black Friday” Galaxy deals. Before the commotion, it may be worth securing an upgrade while prices are down. On top of that, grabbing a Galaxy S25 or Fold 7 prior to Samsung’s next-generation launch may mean securing a good trade-in when the company rolls out new device deals.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is by far the better deal during the early sale. Instead of paying $1,999 for the base configuration, Samsung is offering the foldable for $999 with a $1,000 trade-in. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is eligible for that boosted credit, followed by the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The returns drop dramatically after that, with the Galaxy S24 Ultra only eligible for a $405 credit. If that’s the route you want to go, look into upgrading to the Galaxy S25 Ultra instead.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is down to $599 with a $700 trade-in during the Black Friday pre-sale. That’s a good chunk off of the original $1,299 price. For those who don’t want to trade a device in, the phone still comes down to $949 with a flat $350 discount.
It appears that the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the only device that gets the S25 Ultra down to that unbeatable price. Still, it’s a good opportunity for last-gen users to get an upgrade before the device’s value drops, at least from Samsung’s perspective.
Right now, these are the best deals available for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and S25 Ultra, and even Galaxy Watches. There’s no telling what will happen as we get closer to Black Friday, but with the madness that surrounds the end of November, it might be good to secure good deals now.
