Batteries have been a big downside of Chipolo trackers for some time, but the brand is now launching two new products – Chipolo Loop and Chipolo Card – which support Android’s Find Hub network and also go all-in on rechargeable batteries over alternatives.
Most item trackers take one of three routes. Some utilize coin cell batteries that need to be replaced after a few months or perhaps a year or so. It’s a fine solution, but not always the most ideal since not everyone has those batteries on hand at all times. Others, like Chipolo’s older card trackers, would have a built-in battery that can’t be replaced, requiring users to replace the entire tracker after a year or so (often with a discount on the new one).
Neither of those are ideal, which is why the third route – rechargable batteries – is pretty appealing.
With its new Loop and Card trackers, Chipolo is using rechargable batteries across its main lineup, though the Chipolo Pop that launched in April still runs on a coin cell battery. These latest additions to Chipolo’s lineup work on both Android and Apple with the Find Hub and Find My networks, respectively (and only one at a time), and are built from recycled plastic.

Chipolo Loop has a built-in key ring attachment, comes in six colors, and charges via USB-C. The new Chipolo Card, meanwhile, only comes in black and charges via a Qi wireless charger. Battery life on each is about 6 months and Chipolo says to expect around 400ft of Bluetooth range – neither supports UWB.
Chipolo explains:
Chipolo LOOP: LOOP’s refined design highlights its superpowered button by contrasting the matte textured surface with the glossy centre. Curated with a new flexible silicone loop, the tracking tag is easy to attach to everyday essentials, while its improved water and dust resistance make it adventure-proof. Available in six playful colour combinations: navy, mint, honey, coral, charcoal, and chalk.
Chipolo CARD: Discreetly thin, yet boldly loud, CARD is a sleek, card-sized tracker designed to slip into your wallet seamlessly. It’s exclusively available in charcoal. CARD comes with a textured matte surface and a glossy accent button that boasts functionality, enabling users to effortlessly and quickly locate their phone with a double press. With a loud ring and an innovatively placed side-corner speaker that projects sound outwards, CARD makes finding your items swift and easy.
Both new trackers are available starting today for $39.
