Wyze just put two cameras in the ‘Duo Cam Pan,’ and it spins to track you

Wyze is launching a new “Duo Cam Pan” that cleverly puts two cameras into the same device, with one showing a wide view while the other can spin and tilt to track individuals in view.

Spinning cameras are pretty common nowadays, allowing users to easily change the view of the camera to another point in a room. But in doing that, you can also end up losing your view of a more important point of focus.

That’s where the Wyze Duo Cam Pan steps in.

The Duo Cam Pan has two cameras stacked on top of one another. The bottom camera is fixed, pointing in whatever direction you choose. It has a wide field-of-view and 2K resolution with color night vision, just like the Wyze Cam v4 (and other modern Wyze cameras). Then, on top of it, you’ll find a matching camera that’s mounted to a pan & tilt mount. It can spin 360-degrees for a full view around the area, and then 180-degrees for a view up and down. Between the two cameras, you’re effectively eliminating every possible blind spot.

On top of that, the pan/tilt camera can track an individual to follow them, ideal for monitoring a potential intruder outside of or inside of the home. The Wyze Duo Cam Pan is ready for both indoor and outdoor usage, and features a 100db siren.

Wyze explains:

Installing Duo Cam Pan on the corner of a front porch or home exterior provides complete coverage with the power of two 2k cameras. Each lens captures adjacent areas, or one camera can follow the action while the other keeps a steady watch on the full picture. By maximizing security offerings in one camera, Duo Cam Pan also minimizes equipment and installation time without sacrificing home protection.

To top it all off, you’ll get local SD card recording support, two-way audio, and Google Assistant/Home integration alongside Alexa support.

And it all costs under $70.

The Wyze Duo Cam Pan is available starting today from Wyze.com. If you don’t need two cameras, the standard Wyze Cam Pan v3 is available for $29.98.
