The Galaxy Unpacked event ended with Samsung launching several new devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Galaxy Watch 8 series. Users are now reporting that their orders are shipping as we get closer to the end of the pre-order period.
According to several users on Reddit, and confirmation by some on our team at NewGeekGuide, Galaxy Z Fold 7 orders are already beginning to ship. One post on Reddit displays aggregated data noting that tons of regions are seeing shipping information arrive in their inboxes.
It appears users in South Korea, India, and Australia are seeing delivered Galaxy Z Fold 7 packages, while users in the US are seeing shipped notifications. The estimated delivery is set to July 24 for a lot of these packages, right when the pre-order phase ends.
Samsung’s pre-order period is set to end this week on July 24. At that point, all the existing pre-order promotional offers the company is pushing to users will disappear. That includes the boosted trade-in values Samsung is offering, as well as the free storage upgrades and boosted credits.
We generally see really big discounts during pre-order periods, but those taper off during the normal sale months. Boosted trade-in values are never as good for the phones or watches, and free storage upgrades don’t come around often. The current upgrade on the Z Fold 7 to 512GB is a good offer, saving users at least $100. On top of that, a trade-in can get users $1,000 off of the not-so-cheap phone.
If you’re still on the fence about getting a Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Galaxy Watch 8, you may want to decide before the pre-order deals end.
Users may see their pre-orders arrive before July 24. Even though Samsung expects deliveries to occur on the launch date, shipping companies often push early deliveries, so be on the lookout
