Samsung briefly confirms Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 colors as pricing breaks cover

Samsung might have confirmed July 9th as the date for its next Unpacked event, but thanks to a pair of new leaks, you might not have to wait that long to find out color options — or pricing — for your next foldable.

According to a new leak by Nieuwe Mobiel, Samsung made the decision to send codenames — not model names — to retailers ahead of launch, in order to try and prevent the usual round of pre-announcement pricing leaks. Seeing as how you’re reading this post, though, the company’s strategy obviously didn’t work. An Italian retailer shared listings for “Samsung Q7” and “Samsung B7” devices, codenames that correlate, respectively, to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Assuming these prices are accurate, you might want to hide your wallet:

  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 (512GB) – €1,425.51 (~$1,655)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 7 (256GB) – €2,227.71 (~$2,587)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 7 (512GB) – €2,309.03 (~$2,682)

Nieuwe Mobiel notes that these numbers do include a 22% VAT, but nevertheless, it represents a pretty hefty price increase — €100 for the Flip, €200 for the Fold — compared to their respective predecessors with identical storage configurations.

But we’re not done yet. Despite the move to rely on codenames, Samsung itself accidentally published Irish store pages, as spotted by Android Authority. The prices themselves are obvious placeholders — there’s no chance a 1TB Galaxy Z Fold 7 sells for just €900, I’m sorry to say — but these pages do reveal some of Samsung’s foldable colors planned for launch next month.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 includes options for Coral Red, Blue Shadow, and Jet Black, perfectly matching yesterday’s color leak, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will ship in significantly more boring colors: Jet Black, Blue Shadow, and Silver Shadow. Both phones have “Green Mint” colorways listed as Samsung.com exclusive shades, though it’s unclear exactly what that shade looks like.

Assuming both phones just come in these four tones, it’s a bit of a downgrade compared to previous generations. Samsung offered the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in five colors — three widely available, two Samsung.com exclusives — while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 included seven total options. These listings also seem to confirm the lack of a 1TB Flip 7, with both phones starting at 256GB storage configurations.

Samsung has reservations open now for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, with a $50 credit when you pre-order and up to $1,150+ in savings. Reservations are free, and there’s no obligation to actually buy a device if you sign up, but there’s no other time you can get that $50 credit (which can go towards Galaxy Watch 8), 3x reward points, and other perks.
