
Google is rolling out Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2.1 today with the June 2025 security patch and Pixel bug fixes.
BP31.250523.010 with the June 2025 security patch is available for supported devices: Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and Pixel 9a. Fixes include:
- The “Approve” button in the Device Admin settings is transparent and invisible (Issue #419144521)
- The lockscreen sound toggle shows as off, but sounds still play (Issue #423985494)
- The Android back button intermittently fails to function (Issue #412691179, Issue #417434626, Issue #420283260)
- Fix for a launcher crash when swiping up from the bottom
For whatever reason, Beta 2 (on June 10) shipped with the May 2025 security patch.
The on-device OTA on a Pixel 9 is 4.23 MB.
All eligible devices enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program will be offered an over-the-air (OTA) update to QPR Beta 2.1.
The OTA images are immediately available this time.
