Samsung confirms Galaxy S26 launch on February 25, up to $900 off with reservation

Samsung has officially confirmed that its next Unpacked event will take place on February 25, with the Galaxy S26 series set to be the star of the show.

In an announcement this evening, Samsung has confirmed plans to launch the Galaxy S26 series on February 25 – about 2 weeks from now. The event will take place at 10am PT in San Francisco, California, and will be livestreamed on YouTube.

Samsung teases:

Get ready for a mobile experience designed to remove friction from the things you do every day. The new Galaxy S series is coming – built to simplify everyday interactions, inspire confidence and make Galaxy AI feel seamlessly integrated from the moment it’s in hand.

In the meantime, reservations for the Galaxy S26 series are now open. Samsung is offering a $30 credit that can be used towards accessories and other Samsung products through the company’s online store. Everyone who registers will also be entered in a contest to win a $5,000 Samsung.com gift card.

As always, reservations are free and come with no obligation to actually buy a device.

Samsung says customers can expect savings of up to $900 with trade-ins, while reservations also hold a discount of up to $150 on Galaxy S26 series devices even without a trade-in.

Notably, too, this is the first year reservations are going beyond Samsung.com. Samsung says Best Buy and AT&T will also be accepting reservations.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to deliver updated specs, including the latest Snapdragon chip (at least for models sold in the US), faster wireless charging, and also a new “Privacy Display” on the Galaxy S26 Ultra that can effectively redact content that might be seen be on-lookers. There were more upgrades supposedly planned, but price pressure seemingly readjusted Samsung’s plans.

The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected to cost around the same amount as their predecessors, give or take, with retail availability expected around March 2026.
