There have been growing reports of Google Pixel users experiencing Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth issues after a January 2026 update. Here’s how many of you should feel validated.
Right after Google released the January 2026 update to the public, Pixel users began expressing some concern over sudden issues with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The issues seem to follow the common theme where connections can’t be established.
The issue gained some traction on Reddit and Google’s official forums, but it appears connection problems remain. The company has since released the February 2026 update. The complete changelog makes no apparent mention of a fix for either issue. A fix could be hidden, but it’s unclear.
With the amount of reports online, we turned the issue over to you. According to NewGeekGuide‘s readers, it looks like an unignorable 40% of users are experiencing some sort of connection issue. Of those, the majority said they’re seeing both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues. Those who are experiencing either one by itself are split pretty evenly.
It’s not often we see results so evenly spread across users. The majority of readers, nearly 60%, don’t appear to have connection problems on their Pixel phones. Even though it’s good to see most aren’t having problems, the number that are is unexpected, to say the least.

The sample size for this data isn’t exactly tiny. Just over 2,000 readers responded at the time of writing. Of that, a large amount can’t reliably connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. That’s a major function that seems to be plaguing users since the January update.
Google has yet to release information on the problem, with most official forum responses plastered with the standard restart, safe mode, or reset methods. The February 2026 update has already begun rolling out, though it’s unclear if the issue has been addressed.
