Google rolling out Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2.1 patch

Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2.1 is rolling out to Pixel devices today. This patch comes almost four weeks after the last release, and is surprisingly not Beta 3.

Google says the Android 17 Beta is coming soon

  • CP11.251209.009: Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, and 7 Pro
  • CP11.251209.009.A1: All remaining devices

The last update was CP11.251209.007.A1. Google’s release notes do not identify what has been fixed.

The OTA is a rather significant 123 MB on a Pixel 9a, and 98.39 MB on the Pixel 10.

OTA images are also available, with the Pixel 10 series once again left out.

This is still the January 2026 security patch, and available for all supported devices: Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

If you were previously enrolled in Android 16 QPR3 Beta (and have not opted-out), you will automatically receive QPR3 Beta 2.1 and any future Beta updates.
