More details about the upcoming Galaxy Z TriFold have been revealed in a first look video, while Samsung has also confirmed the price of the foldable.
In its Korean newsroom post about the Galaxy Z TriFold launch, Samsung says that the device will cost 3,594,000 won in its home country. By comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 costs 2,379,300 won. Those prices convert to roughly $2,400 and $1,600 USD, respectively.
Keeping in mind that the Fold 7 sells for $1,999 in the US, that would place the Galaxy Z TriFold’s US price at roughly $2,800.
For that price, you’re getting a totally new experience, as showcased in a hands-on video by SuperSaf. The video dives into the hardware first and foremost, showing how the Galaxy Z TriFold will fold and unfold. The device is opened from the “back,” with the panel containing the camera opening first, and then a second panel that’s hidden while the device is closed up, opening to reveal the full 10-inch inner display. The display is unusable until the display is fully open.
When closing the device, Samsung has programmed the software to show a full-screen alert if you try to close it the wrong way, and paired that with vibrations.
The video also gives us a closer look at the display creases – plural – that come as a result of the dual-hinge design. It overall looks comparable to the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s crease, there are just two of them now as pictured below.

In the software, Samsung has also made this the first Galaxy phone to support on-device DeX. Just like on a Galaxy tablet, you can tap a button in the Quick Settings to start DeX on the 10-inch display, perfect for if you pair a mouse and keyboard. The video also shows that Samsung includes a case (and a charging brick) in the box with the TriFold, and that a kickstand case will be offered.

Some other noteworthy tidbits here include showing the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s inner display compared to the Galaxy Z TriFold, and that Samsung will support the device with 7 years of Android OS updates.
The Galaxy Z TriFold launches first in Korea on December 12, and will launch in the US in Q1 2026.
