What’s new in Android’s November 2025 Google System Updates [U]

The monthly “Google System Release Notes” primarily detail what’s new in Play services, Play Store, and Play system update across Android phones/tablets, Wear OS, Google/Android TV, Auto, and PC. Some features apply to end users, while others are aimed at developers.

The following first-party apps comprise the “Google System”:

A feature appearing in the changelog does not mean it’s widely available. Some capabilities take months to fully launch.

  • [Phone] Game developers can now choose a better time during gameplay to show the Google Play Games profile setup.

Wallet

  • [Phone] With this update, you get a link to new settings on the Google Wallet website.

Google Play Store v49.0 (2025-11-24)

  • [PC, Phone] Quests with a more flexible system, you can now choose which tasks to complete including optional ones that offer additional rewards.
  • [Phone] You can now learn more about the trader and your right of withdrawal through the Google Play Terms of Service, linked on app, game, and book pages for users in the UK.

Android WebView v143 (2025-11-20)

  • Existing protections against abusive ad formats were expanded to improve users’ experience of content on the web.
  • Improvements to security and privacy and updates for bug fixes.
  • New developer features for Google & 3rd party app developers to support functionality related to displaying web content in their apps.

Important: Some features may be experimental and available to certain users.

  • [Phone] The Cards QR feature is no longer available in the Brazil region.

Google Play Store v48.8 (2025-11-10)

  • [Phone] With this update, users can uninstall apps from the Play Store listing on their phone without using the device.
  • [Phone] You can view all active subscriptions and Play Points earned this year in the Subscription center.

Android TV Core Services v7.2.3 (2025-11-03)

  • Introducing account capabilities for Backdrop and updating SDK version to 36.

Google Play services v25.43 (2025-11-03)
