The OnePlus 15 already saw an official launch in China earlier this month, teeing up for a broader rollout in the coming weeks. Well, OnePlus fans might not have to wait as long as they might’ve feared, as the company’s next flagship phone will be on store shelves well before Black Friday.
OnePlus has confirmed the OnePlus 15 is set for a global launch — including in the US and Canada — on November 13th. That’s just a little over two weeks away from today’s announcement, setting up a much earlier launch than the timed-to-CES January window that’s become the company’s usual arrangements. This also effectively guarantees the timing for OxygenOS 16, which is set to launch out of the box on the OnePlus 15.
While we know practically all there is to know about the OnePlus 15 following this month’s launch in China, today’s announcement confirms a few details about its global launch as well. The device will, naturally, run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset announced by Qualcomm last month, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Its camera system will include a 26MP “Ultra-Clear” mode that “combines data from multi-frame 12MP shots with a single 50MP high-resolution frame” for improved detail. And, when it comes to colors, we’re looking at Infinite Black, Ultra Violet, and that micro-arc oxidized Sand Storm that features a “ceramic-grade coating.”
We still have a couple of unanswered questions about the global variant of the OnePlus 15, including whether its massive 7,300mAh battery will actually make the transition stateside. Pricing and availability also remains a mystery, set to be announced during a livestreamed OnePlus event on November 13th.
