What’s fixed in the October 2025 Pixel update detailed by Verizon

Google has not released the October 2025 Pixel update yet, but details of the upcoming OTA from Verizon are now available.

Release notes from the US carrier suggest that the update should have arrived today. As of Tuesday afternoon (PT), nothing from Google is available yet.

According to Verizon, the Android security patch level is still “September 2025” as Google’s October 2025 Android Security Bulletin lists no issues. Build numbers for the October 2025 Pixel update are:

  • Pixel 10: BD3A.251005.003.W3
  • Pixel 9-7: BP3A.251005.004.B1

All devices (Pixel 7-10), with release notes today, get these two User Interface fixes:

  • Addressed an issue that caused a semi-transparent background to appear after the camera was launched.
  • Addressed an issue where the system crashed when starting or stopping casting with the Media Output Switcher.

The Pixel 10 and 9 series get a fix for how “flashlight status didn’t appear on the At a Glance widget.”

The Pixel 7 has a Display & Graphics fix: “Addressed an issue that caused the screen to flicker and shut down under certain conditions.”

For most devices, this is the first patch since last month’s Android 16 QPR1 launch. However, the Pixel 10 series received two updates in September to address a “fuzzy display” problem.
