One of the latest Google Pixel accessories is a “wristlet” wrist strap that attaches to your case. It’s a fun little accessory and one that works well, though it is just a bit on the bulky side.
Not long after the Pixel 10 series launched, Google introduced a new wrist strap on the Google Store for Pixel phones. Available in three colors, the “Rope Wristlet” is designed to let you hang your phone from your wrist and requires nothing more than a case to work.
Installing the wrist strap is as simple as taking off your case, placing down an includes tab in the USB-C port cutout, and then put the case back on. From there, the clip on the wrist strap holds onto your phone. It’s brilliantly simple, and works pretty well on my Pixel 10 Pro XL and Google’s official case. I will say, though, that you might run into issues on the smaller phones. When I tried this on my wife’s Pixel 10 Pro, the case bulged off of the phone a lot more than it does on my XL.

Once installed, though, it really works like a charm. The rope is comfortable and I really like the colorful designs of the purple and green color options. I didn’t bother buying the black, personally, but it is nice that even that one still has a splash of color.
In terms of feeling secure, the strap doesn’t feel like it’s coming out easily, but I think it largely boils down to how secure the case is. As mentioned, the looser fit I noticed on the smaller Pixel 10 Pro would have concerned me, but a case with more coverage than Google’s would probably be fine. I suspect that’s why Google specifically says this accessory doesn’t work with Pixel Fold devices, as those cases aren’t as secure around the USB-C port.

My only real complaint about the accessory is that, because the rope is so thick, it always feels a little out of place unless you’re actively wearing it. Especially in my pocket, it just sticks out and feels super awkward.
But for $7, it’s hard to complain. It’s a fun little accessory and I hope Google puts out more options like this
Sadly, the Rope Wristlet is fully out of stock right now. When it comes back, do you want one?
