Google introduced its revamped Androidify app earlier this month, but it seems the company is going to follow that up with the ability to use characters created in the app as a Wear OS watch face.
Androidify was around for the better part of a decade as a fun way to make customized Android characters. It disappeared for a while, but was revived last month to showcase the latest AI projects from Google including Gemini’s image and video generation.
Now, it seems Google is working to add customizable Wear OS watch faces using Androidify.
The folks over at Android Authority uncovered an in-development option in Androidify’s latest update that would allow users to bring their characters to their Wear OS smartwatch. Specifically, the “Customize and Export” page will be adding a watch button that would provide a number of different watch faces.

This isn’t live yet in Androidify 1.2.1, the latest release, but Google has confirmed it’s coming.
The Play Store listing for Androidify directly shows a handful of these watch faces, and one of the screenshots suggests that a full Wear OS app is in the works too.

It’s unclear when this might roll out, but it looks like a super fun little addition for Wear OS users.
