Nothing Phone (1) and (2) owners can score the Phone (3) for $300 off without a trade-in

Nothing OS 4.0 is right around the corner, but the company isn’t bringing its Android 16 upgrade to every smartphone. Following Carl Pei’s confirmation on social media that the Nothing Phone (1) won’t receive another major upgrade, the company is offering an exclusive deal to Nothing Phone (1) and (2) owners to upgrade to the brand’s latest smartphone.

The deal, shared on the Nothing community forums, invites owners of the company’s first two phones to upgrade for $300 off the total purchase price. The deal requires an IMEI paired to one of the two devices to earn the discount code, but doesn’t require an actual trade-in of the phone, meaning Nothing’s earliest fans can hold onto their original hardware. With this discount, the price of the Nothing Phone (3) falls to just $500, a pretty great price for near-flagship specs.

The post also once again lays the groundwork for a big focus on AI, with the post specifically calling out the Phone (3)’s Essential Key and Essential Space as initiatives that “set the stage for where [Nothing is] headed.” Carl Pei recently teased “AI-native” devices for 2026 alongside a proprietary OS, proving that the brand — much like every other modern tech company — is set to race headfirst into an AI-centric future.

Judging by the comments on this post, you won’t find this deal in every region, and the exact amount of savings will vary by where you live. In some cases, certain countries do support the deal, but you’ll need to order through a third-party marketplace rather than through Nothing’s online store directly. If you owned a Nothing Phone (1) or (2) and already purchased a Phone (3), you can contact customer support to earn a credit towards a future purchase. This offer runs through October 3rd, so if you’ve been on the fence about upgrading your original Nothing Phone, you won’t want to wait too long.
