Gmail is following up improved order tracking with a new “Purchases” view and more relevant Promotions tab ahead of the upcoming holiday shopping season.
This Purchases tab is a new view in Gmail that shows “all purchase-related emails and package updates in one simple, streamlined interface.” The list of “Arriving soon” cards just above it will also let you see upcoming package deliveries.
In the navigation drawer, you’ll find Purchases under All labels. Google will continue to show summary cards at the top of purchase emails and your inbox. Gmail’s new Purchase tab is rolling out globally starting today on Android, iOS, and web to personal Google Accounts.

Meanwhile, Gmail’s Promotions category is getting a “Most relevant” sort option that emphasizes senders and brands “you engage with the most.” “Most recent” will remain available as an option.
Additionally, nudges will “highlight upcoming deals and timely offers so you don’t miss out.” This will begin rolling out in the coming weeks on mobile to personal accounts.
