Ahead of an expected launch this week, a new leak on Amazon has not only revealed the entire new collection of Philips Hue products, but also the way that Bridge Pro will turn your existing bulbs into motion sensors.
It’s been clear as of late that Philips Hue is preparing a big new product launch with updated lighting products and the long-awaited Philips Hue Bridge Pro that expands device connections. In a big new leak on Amazon, we’re getting an early look at the new collection.
New products showcased on the Amazon UK store for Philips Hue include:
- Hue Essential bulbs
- New Philips Hue doorbell
- Philips Hue Bridge Pro
- String lights
- New customizable Hue starter kits
But perhaps the most interesting thing here is revealing how “Motion Aware” will work. This new feature of the Philips Hue Bridge Pro was previously discussed to turn existing lights into motion sensors, but the “how” was unknown.
The Verge, which spotted the leak, mentions that this new feature will use “the bulbs’ Zigbee radios to detect motion between Hue lights” using tech called Sensify. A graphic on this leaked Amazon page certainly suggests that is the case.
The new collection from Philips Hue will likely be announced in full this week at IFA.
