Google Password Manager on Android is widely rolling out a Material 3 Expressive redesign that is mostly updated components but with one genuinely useful addition.
The Google Play services-powered/derived application starts with a search app bar. The pill-shaped “Search” field is flanked by the four-color Password Manager key — for a nice piece of branding that Google suggests using in its design guidelines — and your profile photo. It remains docked to the top of the screen as you scroll the credentials list.
Old vs. new

When you switch to the Checkup tab, the search bar is replaced by “Password Checkup,” with the same thing happening for Settings.
Next is a rather useful set of filters for Passwords, Passkeys, and Network devices, with “All” being the default view. “Add password” below makes use of a Material 3 shape for the plus.

Each website or application is placed in its own container, with the first and last one in the list featuring more rounded corners.
The bottom bar is unchanged and remains in the tall style. There are no major changes to the other two tabs today, though Password Manager finally uses Dynamic Color instead of the default blue accent. It makes for a more lively app experience.
We’re seeing wide availability of Material 3 Expressive for Password Manager with version 25.31 of Google Play services.
