It’s no secret Samsung has a new series of tablets on the way, but it’s looking a little different this year than in years’ past. In addition to a pair of new flagship slates, the company’s also planning on launching a mid-range Galaxy Tab S10 Lite ahead of the holiday season, and new leaked specs point towards a promising — if fairly familiar — device, complete with a bright new red variant.
The folks at WinFuture published leaked renders and specs for the company’s upcoming budget-friendly tablet., and although it’s not quite a 1:1 repackaging, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite sounds pretty similar to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE from two years ago. It’s got a 10.9-inch 90Hz LCD display, either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, stereo speakers, and an 8,000mAh battery. It’s even rocking the same 5nm Exynos 1380, a decidedly mid-range chipset compared to the more powerful Exynos 1580 found in this year’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE.
But it’s not just a rebranded slate from two years ago. There are some minor differences between the Tab S9 FE and this leaked Tab S10 Lite, and it starts with the design.

In addition to the lack of a visible magnetic strip for the bundled S Pen — seemingly included in the box here, just as with plenty of Galaxy Tab entries — Samsung has also included larger bezels around the display. The result is a similarly-sized screen to the Tab S9 FE, but with a slightly lower 2112 x 1320 resolution. It’s definitely not the same panel from two years ago, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this also comes with a decrease to peak brightness levels.
There’s some good news about that S Pen though. Despite my theory that Bluetooth support would be removed from the company’s upcoming tablets (à la the Galaxy S25 Ultra) in lieu of a battery-less stylus, it seems like Samsung still supports a magnetic connection in its usual camera-adjacent placement. This might simply be a cosmetic change rather than a loss of functionality, and that’s great news for Galaxy Tab buyers and S Pen fans alike.
Other changes include a swap to an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing one, as well as a dip from 45W charging speed to just 25W. At 6.6mm thick and 524 grams, however, the Tab S10 Lite should, at the very least, feel virtually identical in the hand to its very familiar predecessor. Another change, this time for the better: a move to seven years of Android and security updates for the Tab S10 Lite, compared to four and five years, respectively, on the Tab S9 FE. And, of course, that bright Coral Red colorway looks pretty sharp compared to the Tab S10 FE’s muted grays.
Samsung reportedly plans to launch Wi-Fi-only and 5G versions of the Tab S10 Lite later this year. WinFuture‘s European pricing looks like this:
- 6GB, 128GB, Wi-Fi: €399.99 (~$467)
- 8GB, 256GB, Wi-Fi: €469.99 (~$550)
- 6GB, 128GB, 5G: €459.99 (~$537)
- 8GB, 256GB, 5G: €529.99 (~$620)
Those are some pretty expensive prices on display here, especially since the Galaxy Tab S10 FE’s base model is currently on sale for just $430. Still, it’s nice to see Samsung returning to the Lite series for the first time in ages — the company revamped the Tab S6 Lite last year, but otherwise has focused on its slightly-more-premium FE series. Factor in the inevitability of holiday-timed sales, and this could be a pretty solid entry-level tablet.
