What’s new in Google Home 3.37 & 3.38: More camera improvements

This round, Google Home has released two release notes — version 3.37 and 3.38 — simultaneously with a focus on camera updates. This follows the last drop in late July.

Google Home 3.38 is from August 4, 2025 and is widely rolled out. Google Home continues work on camera improvements by reducing latency and improving online/offline status.

Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements

  • Improved camera live playback: We’ve made under-the-hood corrections to ensure the app accurately reports whether your camera is online or offline, improving live streaming performance.
  • Enhanced Camera Performance: Experience reduced latency to the first frame and improved reliability for cameras through better signaling.

Version 3.37 is dated July 23, 2025. Besides general app bug fixes, the big addition is how Camera tiles will show a previous live view as a preview to “quickly identify your camera without waiting” for the live feed.
