YouTube has fixed a bug that shows users blank subscription tabs

The most recent in the list of seemingly random YouTube bugs is an app issue that made the subscriptions page invisible, with no new or old videos to be seen. YouTube says it has fixed this issue for Android and iOS users.

The official YouTube Help forum was updated two days ago with an issue noted by the company. Apparently, users were experiencing a bug that essentially deleted content from the subscription tab. The tab button was still available, but no content was visible.

YouTube noted that this issue was mainly a problem for iPhone users, though it’s possible Android users experienced this bug as well. The bug did not appear to affect the YouTube online site, either.

According to YouTube, the subscription page bug has since been fixed. That means subscriptions should show up normally in the Subscription tab at the bottom of the app, with channels at the top and recent flowing down the page in succession.

This issue comes as one of many that YouTube has experienced recently. The most recent is a bug that broke the Android YouTube app’s playback speed controls. Another bug mirrored the one YouTube just fixed, causing the homepage to look blank.

Fortunately, YouTube’s team is quick to deal with these bugs, including the new subscription tab issue. Most problems that appear on YouTube’s forum are resolved within a matter of days.
