Amazon now offering big-time $450 price drop on unlocked Galaxy S24 Ultra
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, as I’m sure you know by now, did release at the top of the year and has been a popular pickup among 9to5Toys readers. But for those who just don’t care about or even need the latest and greatest from Samsung, Amazon is now offering a deep straight up cash discount on unlocked 256GB Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones right now at $849.99 shipped – that’s $450 off the $1,300 list price.
While we did catch a very short-lived deal on select colors at Best Buy last month at $500 off, that deal came and went very quickly and the listing is now sitting back up at the full $1,300 right now. Amazon is, however, landing with one of the best prices it has ever offered on this handset with a nearly as impressive $450 in savings off the sticker price – this includes the Titanium Gray, Black, and Yellow models.
How does this deal stack up to pricing on the newer S25 Ultra though? A 256GB S25 Ultra carries a list price at $1,420 directly from Samsung where you can score $300 off to land one down at $1,120 shipped. That’s not a bad deal at all for the latest model in any of the seven colors Samsung offers it for, but we are still talking about $270 more than the Amazon price on the unlocked S24 Ultra we have here today.
For further comparison, Amazon’s best price on a 256GB S25 Ultra lands at the same $1,120 shipped Samsung is offering right now.
Much like we said last go around, a previous-gen smartphone is really not something that will pique everyone’s interest, but considering this was arguably the very best Android phone on the planet at this time last year (really not much more than 6 months ago), the deep $450 price drop straight from Amazon should be on the radar of anyone who is looking to save some serious cash on what is still a compelling last-gen flagship smartphone experience.

Over at Samsung, you’ll find the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic marked down from its usual $550 list price to $499.99 shipped alongside $100 in bonus Samsung credit. This is effectively the same deal we were tracking during the pre-order phase, it’s just that the bundle discounts when purchasing one with the new foldables aren’t quite as notable.
That said, you can essentially score the same deal over at Amazon once again. While folks invested in the Samsung ecosystem might be able to make the store credit there work for them when it comes to upcoming releases or bundling in some new earbuds or something like that, a $100 Amazon credit can go a whole lot further than that considering you can use it on anything it sells – groceries, Switch 2 games, back to school gear, and a million other things.
Just keep in mind, going straight to Samsung for the 8 Classic can also net you a gigantic deal on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at $175 off.
As of right now, you’ll find Galaxy Watch 8 Classic down at the same $499.99 shipped price on Amazon with an included $100 Amazon gift card on both the white and graphite models – there’s no telling how much longer the color stock will remain, but this deal is scheduled to end on August 5, 2025. You cannot, however, score the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro deal there.

We are now tracking a deal at Amazon that drops Microsoft’s Surface Laptop with a Snapdragon X Elite chip down to $999 shipped. That’s straight up a $601 discount on the $1,600 sticker price of this machine that comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. It briefly dropped to $899 at B&H during a limited-time offer earlier this year in February, but it’s mostly been selling for around $1,300 since then.
