Original AAWireless returns amid wait for Android Auto and CarPlay-capable adapter

An Android Auto and CarPlay wireless adapter in one is a product that has obvious utility, but we’ve been waiting a long time for AAWireless to deliver it. While tha’ts on the horizon, the original AAWireless has just made an unexpected return.

AAWireless is the original wireless Android Auto adapter, and the most advanced as well. For the past couple of years, the adapter has been testing out support for both Android Auto and CarPlay from the same hardware in beta, but it’s never fully crossed the finish line. In the release of the sequel device, AAWireless TWO, CarPlay was omitted and pushed over to “AAWireless TWO+” which has yet to fully release.

While we wait for AAWireless TWO+ to hit the market – some users have gotten units early following a very limited release – the original AAWireless is now on sale again.

Through Amazon, the original AAWireless is currently available for purchase for $59.99, a few dollars less than the sequel. This comes months after the device was seemingly discontinued for good, though this isn’t the first time it has resurfaced.

What’s good as a customer, though, is that this means there’s still an option to get Android Auto and CarPlay in one device, albiet in beta, without waiting for a new launch. It’s unclear how long this stock will last though so, if you want one, get it sooner rather than later.
