Galaxy Z Fold 7 comes with a $300 gift card at Amazon as a good trade-in alternative, $200 for Flip

If you’re looking to get one of Samsung’s new foldables but don’t want to do a trade-in to lower the price, Amazon is offering up to $300 gift cards with the purchase of Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, making it a good alternative to Samsung’s own offers.

Easily the best place to get a new Samsung device is from the company’s own online store, as boosted trade-in values can often save you hundreds, even up to $1,000 off of a new device when offloading a phone you already own. Second to that is carriers, who will also often give you hundreds off of your new foldable when you trade in an old device or open a new line.

But if you don’t want to deal with any of that and just want to score a new foldable while also getting a few bucks back, Amazon has a good offer.

Instead of doing a trade-in, Amazon will bundle a $300 gift card in with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and a $200 gift card with the Galaxy Z Flip 7. That card can then be used on anything on Amazon, making it the equivalent of cash to many. That’s opposed to Samsung’s own store, where you’ll get a $300 “Instant Credit” if you forgo a trade-in, meaning you can only use that money for accessories such as a Galaxy Watch or cases, where Amazon will let you use the gift card on literally anything.

That’s on top of Amazon offering the same doubled storage boost as Samsung.com, meaning you’ll get the 512GB version of the Fold 7 or Flip 7 for the price of the 256GB model.

Similarly, you’ll get $100 gift cards with Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE and Galaxy Watch 8 series through Amazon during the pre-order promo.

However, these offers end on July 24, with devices set to ship on July 25.
