Belkin pulls the plug on Wemo smart home products which will stop working in 2026

If your home has any of Belkin’s Wemo products, the connected devices will cease to operate in early 2026.

Belkin has announced in an email to customers that Wemo smart home products will no longer be supported as of January 31, 2026. The shutdown will affect “any features that rely on cloud connectivity, including remote access and voice assistant integrations,” with the Wemo app also entirely shutting down. Customer support will end on the same date.

The company says:

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to end technical support for older Wemo products, effective January 31, 2026. After this date, several Wemo products will no longer be controllable through the Wemo app. Any features that rely on cloud connectivity, including remote access and voice assistant integrations, will no longer work.

The shutdown affects Wemo products that were still for sale as recently as 2023, but a handful of devices (WLS0503, WSC010, WSP100, and WDC010) will continue to function through HomeKit over Thread. For devices still supported under warranty, Belkin says a “partial refund” will be available. Based on the company’s list, though, that applies to very few products.
