The Pixel Tablet is a solid buy for $249 on Amazon right now

As part of the massive Amazon Prime Day 2025 deals, the Google Pixel Tablet is an absolute steal for just $249 for the base 128GB model.

We’ve seen the now two year old tablet get a few discounts since it was launched back in 2023, but while there are undoubtedly better overall packages, if you want a basic but still solid big screen Android accessory; the Pixel Tablet remains a great option and a charming alternative to others on the market.

The 11-inch LCD screen is well tuned, making it a great companion for travel when watching movies, TV shows, and browsing the web. Sure, the Tensor G2 processor is by no means cutting edge, but it will give you enough power to do all the basics, plus get a little more done with some 3D gaming here and there. 8GB of RAM should handle almost all kinds of multitasking you would want from a tablet of this size. Even the 128GB of onboard storage should mean you have enough room to keep most of your files locally, but you can offload things to the cloud if needed.

The 256GB model is also on sale for $309 if you are the kind of person who needs tons of storage for your devices. Where the Pixel Tablet excels is as a Nest Hub hybrid device. Sadly, you do need the separate Speaker Dock to get the “full” experience, but even as a smooth, clean Android tablet that is eligible for the upcoming Material 3 Expressive update, there will be few that are hard to beat for simplicity.

A lot of people don’t seem to realize that you can load up the Pixel Tablet with a number of accessories and turn it into a bit more of a productivity powerhouse. We’ve covered a number of essential accessories that we think help achieve that – so check that out here.

As noted, the discounted pricing brings the Pixel Tablet down to just $249 when compared to the regular $399 retail pricing. Google has been coy on a potential follow-up device, so we expect the Pixel Tablet to hang around in the lineup for a little while longer at the very least. Rumors of a successor have been thin on the ground after a proposed Pixel Tablet 2 was canceled.
