Redmagic Astra tablet will start at $549 with its 9-inch OLED display

Announced first in China, the Redmagic Astra gaming tablet is now seeing its global debut with the 9-inch Android tablet getting a price of $549 in the US.

Redmagic Astra is a 9-inch gaming tablet running on top of Android 15, Snapdragon 8 Elite, and 12GB or more of RAM. The tablet’s big selling point over its main competitor, the Lenovo Legion Tablet, is that it has an OLED display, as well as having the fingerprint sensor lacking from Lenovo’s tablet.

As we detailed last month:

The 9.06-inch OLED display boasts 2400×1504 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio that should be ideal for games and media consumption, as well as a 165Hz refresh rate. It runs Android 15 out of the box, is powered by an 8,200 mAh battery, and features a powerful spec package. Snapdragon 8 Elite runs the show with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage, though without a microSD card slot. That storage is UFS 4.1, though, and the tablet also features 80W charging and “dynamic RGB lighting” on its back.

The big news today is pricing.

Redmagic Astra starts at $549 in the US, though orders aren’t open just yet. That matches the price of Lenovo’s Legion Tablet. Meanwhile, in the UK, the tablet will start at £439.
