Nothing Phone (3) has a 50MP ‘periscope’ telephoto lens – here are the first samples [Gallery]

Ahead of its launch event next week, Nothing has confirmed that Phone (3) will be launching with the camera feature that was missing from its predecessor, a telephoto lens.

In a brief post, Nothing says that the Phone (3) will ship with a 50MP periscope lens telephoto camera “built for creators.” There’s no mention of the optical zoom level (2x, 3x, etc), but it’s going to be a welcome addition at pretty much any level.

While details are still slim, Nothing has shared a handful of samples from the new telephoto camera.

It’s hard to tell the level of zoom in these shots, but it’s also pretty clear that Nothing will double the periscope lens for macro photography duty. The company also does this with the Phone (3a)’s telephoto camera. Carl Pei also threw a sample into the mix.
