The Poco F7 has officially launched globally with an impressive spec sheet for a mid-ranger and is powered by the brand-new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
Xiaomi continues the tradition of offering an incredibly price-competitive smartphone that packs in hardware that belies its price tag. The core Poco F7 has a 6.83-inch 120Hz OLED display coated in Gorilla Glass 7i and there is a “Panda Glass” rear panel. As already noted, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor is utilized and paired with 12GB RAM, with either 256/512GB storage available.
There is a huge 6,500mAh internal battery which supports similarly impressive 90W wired fast charging. Xiaomi’s HyperCharge tech can top up the Poco F7 from 0 to 80% in under 30 minutes. Wireless charging is also available with 22.5W reverse wireless charging, another shock inclusion.

While this is targeted as a gaming phone, the Poco F7 does have some nice camera hardware tacked on. The Sony IMX882 main sensor is rated at 50MP and paired with a paltry 8MP ultra-wide lens. Digital zoom is available on the main sensor to offer faux telephoto images via sensor cropping.
One of the biggest changes to the Poco F7 series is the improved update schedule. You’ll get at least four years of Android updates and a total of six years of security patches. However, Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed if these are monthly at this stage. That said, it is a very big improvement over previous generations.
You will be able to purchase the Poco F7 in selected global regions from mi.com, including the UK, mainland Europe, priced at $399 or £389 for the 12/256GB version, while there is an early bird pricing starting at £319 in the UK. It comes in two colors: silver and black.
