Samsung is giving away extended Game Pass trials – here’s how to sign up

Samsung’s partnership with Xbox Game Pass is proving to be beneficial once again. The company is expanding its trial period for users with Samsung TVs to celebrate the launch of EA FC25 on Game Pass.

Samsung launched something called the “Gaming Hub” on its TVs a couple of years ago. The Gaming Hub is a specialized TV app that essentially helped boost cloud gaming on TVs, bringing it to more users and making it easier to access any service. Xbox Game Pass, GeForce Now, and even Stadia found a home in the hub – at least, for a little bit.

Most of Samsung’s TV models within the past couple of years are able to access the Gaming Hub, and with it, Xbox Game Pass. Normally, buying a new TV means getting a month’s trial for Microsoft’s Cloud Gaming software. That’s changing just slightly for a limited time, it seems.

According to Xbox Game Pass and Samsung, buying a new TV means getting an extra month of Game Pass Ultimate instead of just one. This offer is also good for existing users, though there may be limitations.

Samsung notes that users can follow these steps:

  1. On your new or existing Samsung TV, download the Samsung Promotions app.
  2. Hit the Xbox promotion banner or scan the QR code.
  3. Follow the instructions for subscription.

This extended trial comes as Xbox Game Pass wants to promote EA’s FC25, though we would have liked to see a 6-month trial or something more substantial.

The game has been out for some time, though the expansion into cloud gaming is new. In truth, cloud gaming was made for titles like FC25 and other sports games. The ease of pickup for a match or two is hard to beat, especially without the need to wait for updates or anything else. Given you have a solid internet connection, cloud gaming has become hard to beat.

Samsung notes that the Gaming Hub with Xbox Game Pass works on a plethora of models, including The Frame and The Frame Pro. Of course, Samsung’s Neo QLED and OLED series also work perfectly fine with the Gaming Hub.
