Galaxy Watch FE gets its second update of 2025, but it’s not available to everyone yet

While we might all be excited about One UI 8 Watch’s looming beta, Galaxy Watch FE users have an entirely separate update to be excited about.

A new software patch for the Galaxy Watch FE is rolling out, just one month after an initial patch for 2025 delivered “performance improvements” alongside various (undisclosed) security fixes. So far, we’ve only spotted this release through Verizon, though it should arrive on other Galaxy Watch FE models soon.

Compared to May’s patch, this month’s build, software version R866USQS1AYE9, includes an even slimmer list of patch notes, keeping things pretty simple with this single line:

The current software update provides the most up to date Android security patches for your device.

Not the most informative changelog, to say the least. Still, a bump up to Google’s most recent security patch isn’t a bad thing, and with One UI 8 Watch’s beta period seemingly around the corner, anyone looking for a more exciting Wear OS update won’t have to wait too much longer to receive one.
