You can now get a replacement Google TV remote with a customizable button for $13

Finding a good replacement remote for Google TV devices has been a bit annoying for a while now, but Walmart is now directly selling its official Google TV remote for a mere $13 price tag, and with fast delivery.

For years now, getting a replacement Google TV remote has been a frustrating process. You’re either spending a bit too much for some, buying from sketchy sources, or waiting forever for a delivery. We noted last year that things have gotten better, but it was still hard to find a “good” option.

Now, though, Walmart has solved all of our problems.

Through its website and stores, Walmart now sells official replacement remotes for its Google TV devices. The “Onn Voice Remote” costs just $12.84, comes with batteries in the box, and should work with any Google TV device. We’ve shown in the past that Walmart’s remotes work with other streaming devices, such as Google’s Chromecast lineup.

The other benefit here is that you’re getting access to a Google TV remote that has the customizable “star” button. This is a relatively new option in the space, but it allows the user to assign the button to open the app of their choice, or the Google Home panel. This might not work on all Google TV devices, but it should work with most.

As mentioned, this remote is available both online and in stores. So if your Google TV remote gets wrecked and you absolutely need one quickly, you might be able to just go to your local store and pick one up. Walmart’s online delivery is also very fast.
