
Following its launch last month, Samsung has just rolled out the second One UI 8 beta while also expanding the program to some new regions around the globe.
One UI 8 is Samsung’s Android 16 update for Galaxy phones. It’s not nearly as big of an update as One UI 7 was, but it still brings some welcome improvements. We broke down everything new when the first beta update was released.
Now, One UI 8 Beta 2 has been released for the Galaxy S25 series. The roughly 1.2GB update doesn’t bring much in terms of new features, but delivers a lot of bug fixes. Samsung’s changelog is as follows:

- Added user feedback feature to improve interpreter performance
Bugs that have been fixed:
- Fixed the Now brief text alignment issue and the morning briefing screen persisting issue
- Improved battery widget icon
- Fixed the issue with widget size on the lock screen increasing
- Fixed an intermittent fingerprint recognition screen failure and recognition errors
- Fixed intermittent fingerprint unlock errors and file movement malfunctions in Secure Folder
- Fixed the issue with volume being lowered when making a Bluetooth call in a vehicle
- Fixed the issue where no sound is heard when a notification arrives during the game
- Fixed non-functioning errors in Galaxy AI weather and time wallpapers
- Fixed the issue of not being able to go back when gesture recognition is enabled
- Fixed the issue of Air Command icon disappearing when the S Pen is detached
- Fixed the issue of the alarm sound not ringing when the Clock app is not updated after the Beta update
- SW stabilization through updates to many apps including the Camera app
- Many other improvements
Some other tweaks not mentioned in the changelog include wider use of predictive back when using gesture navigation, a “text to image” AI generator in Samsung Keyboard, and more.
Samsung has also expanded One UI 8’s beta program to more portions of the globe. This includes to India and Poland.
One UI 8 will debut in July on Samsung’s next foldables, with a wider rollout expected shortly thereafter.
