Samsung has brought back boosted trade-ins for Galaxy devices during a new summer sale event. The company is offering users up to $630 in instant credit and double storage for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The Galaxy S25 series is Samsung’s best set of devices, hands down. The company has struggled a bit in terms of developing new ideas, but the phones themselves are some of the best Android devices available, though they’re a bit pricey under normal circumstances.
Right now, Samsung is offering a couple of compounding deals for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It looks like the company upgraded some of its trade-in offerings for its summer sale. This generally follows a few months after the company’s big series release, and it usually means some really big savings.
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is also getting the free storage upgrade treatment during the sale, which is generally reserved for pre-orders but can pop up on occasion. The storage upgrade means users can get a 512GB model for the price of a 256GB model, which is fantastic.
According to Samsung’s website, there are a few highlighted trade-ins. Both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and S24 Ultra are worth $630 when traded, and the S23 Ultra is just under that at $580. Upgrading from two generations behind at that trade-in seems like a good deal.
Device | Trade-in value |
---|---|
Galaxy Z Fold 6 | $630 |
Galaxy S24 Ultra | $630 |
Galaxy S23 Ultra | $580 |
Galaxy Z Fold 5 | $580 |
Galaxy S24+ | $500 |
Galaxy S22 Ultra | $500 |
Galaxy Z fold 5 | $500 |
The further down the list you go, the better it seems to get during Samsung’s Galaxy sale. Getting $500 back for the Galaxy S22 Ultra sounds like a good deal, considering that’s several generations down the line. The new One UI 7 and 8 updates coming to Galaxy devices won’t be as powerful on a device of that year, unfortunately.
Samsung is also offering Galaxy Watch Ultra deals, with $325 trade-ins for certain devices and $200 if you choose not to trade something in. The Watch Ultra is a great device, but it’s expensive. At $649, it’s not a cheap watch. That said, you can trade last generation’s Watch 5 Pro Watch Ultra for $325 in total. Even if you trade nothing in, Samsung will offer the watch for $450. The Galaxy Watch 7 is seeing similar boosted trades.
Summer sales usually don’t last too long, and they’re a good time to get a Galaxy device simply because reviews have been out for a while, and there’s still plenty of time before Samsung preps the next Galaxy S devices for launch.
