Galaxy Z Flip 7 will also probably be ‘Qi2 Ready,’ listing reveals

Following in the footsteps of the Galaxy S25 series and likely the Galaxy Z Fold 7 too, Samsung appears to be preparing Qi2 support for the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Samsung has yet to adopt proper Qi2, the kind that includes magnets for charger alignment and accessories. Rather, the company supports a new version of the standard, Qi 2.1, which allows for “approved” cases to add the magnets. The Galaxy S25 series first brought this experience and, as we reported earlier this week, it seems the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will do the same.

Now, another new listing from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has confirmed that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will also support the Qi 2.1.0 standard, meaning it will also very likely be “Qi2 Ready.”

This listing refers to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 as SM-A846U which does not align with Samsung’s typical model numbers. But this is just like Fold 7, as the WPC refers to that device as SM-D637U, an unusual model number. We know that this is the Flip 7, though, because the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is also listed as SM-A822D.
